The QOMO QD1600 uses a high resolution broadcast grade 1/3” Progressive Scan CCD that gives it outstanding image quality, phenomenal color reproduction and a remarkable 20 frames per second video performance. The QD1600 features a professional grade 16X Optical Zoom Lens with 10X digital zoom. To accommodate any room lighting situation the QD1600 features an advanced Electronic Iris and Auto White Balance system that assures the best image sharpness and color reproduction. The QOMO QD1600 also features the most advanced image manipulation and special visual effects controls of any document camera from any manufacturer.

As with all QOMO products, QD1600 was designed to be an integral component of the “QOMO Interactive Classroom Solution.”  This is our corporate vision for designing and integrating all of our products, Document cameras, Whiteboards, Interactive tablets and Audience Response systems so that they can work together to create a powerful technology enabled classroom environment. 

To accomplish this, our engineers have designed the QD1600 with a complete Multi-Media Switching system, Video Scaler and Projector Control.  You can connect 2 MAC or PC computers (with audio), a DVD player, and a VCR directly to the QD1600, and you need only one VGA cable to connect to your display device or projector, saving hundreds of dollars in installation costs.

In addition, when the QD1600 is connected to your computer via USB, the camera’s high resolution images can be incorporated into our Flow! Works software and in combination with our QIT30 wireless tablet or our QWB200 Whiteboard, the images can be annotated over and shared with students, thus making the QD1600 a truly powerful interactive tool.

As we are all aware, there is a big disconnect between the printed page’s portrait format and the computer display’s landscape layout. In addition to the powerful 16X Optical Zoom, the QOMO QD1600 features Digital Image Rotation in 90^o steps, as well as a motorized camera head that allows you to show a virtually any subject matter accurately and at high resolution.

Presenters can use the QD1600’s powerful suite advanced image manipulation tools to engage and educate their audience and make learning fun.  With the QOMO QD1600, you can capture and save video and/or still images via the USB connection for playback at a later time.  No need to carry around memory cards... you can save directly to your hard drive!  The unit is lightweight and folds for easy storage. All QOMO visual presenter/document cameras are backed by our industry leading warranty.

Because QOMO cares about the Earth, all QOMO document cameras are engineered to be environmentally conscientious.  Many States and dozens of Countries consider fluorescent lamps to be hazardous material because of their mercury content.  This is one of the reasons that QOMO uses environmentally friendly, low power consumption and long lasting (25,000 hours) LED lighting in all of our document cameras. QOMO document cameras also meet the European Union's stringent requirements for the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment (RoHS). This is an expensive way to build our products, but we consider it an important investment in our future.
